First, there was Herbie the Love Bug, a charismatic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle that appeared in several Disney movies.

Then there was the General Lee, a 1969 Dodge Charger driven by Bo and Luke Duke on the TV series Dukes of Hazard.

And, over the course of history, there have been plenty of other favorite cars with names: Kitt from Knight Rider, Bandit from Smokey and the Bandit and good ‘ole Lightning McQueen from the movie Cars.

Today, as we celebrate National Name Your Car Day, we want to know if you’ve given your favorite car a name.

And, if you haven’t, today would be a great day to think one up. After all, your car has personality and character! It’s a trusty, reliable friend that is right there with you on good days and bad. Take a few minutes and think of a name that’s fitting of a faithful friend!
