Unlocking your car radio

November 2nd, 2009 by

If you’ve ever had to replace your battery, you may have been surprised to discover that your car radio suddenly quit working. This is completely normal, and in most cases, it’s no big deal – as long as you know how to unlock your radio. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Find your owner’s manual and locate the card with your car’s radio code.
  • If you drive a newer Honda, you can locate the radio code in your glove box, as well.
  • If all else fails, go to the Honda Web site and type in your Vehicle Identification Number. You’ll also need to provide two pieces of personal information so that Honda can verify that you are the owner of the vehicle.

Then, simply punch in the code. You’ll be singing all your favorite tunes in no time!
