If you’re looking for an authentic taste of fall, hop in your Honda and head to the Apple Festival of Kendallville this weekend. The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

When it first started in 1985, the Apple Festival of Kendallville was a much smaller affair. Now it brings more than 70,000 visitors each year, and it’s become a huge community-wide celebration.

This year, festival goers can expect to enjoy a variety of crafts, antiques, music, live entertainment, food vendors, a children’s area with games and rides, as well as a Civil War encampment.

The Apple Festival of Kendallville takes place at the Noble County Fairgrounds. Parking costs $5 per day, or you can take advantage of free parking at Fairview Plaza. A free shuttle from Fairview Plaza is available during festival hours.

Visit the event website for more information about the Apple Festival or Kendallville and a complete schedule of events.
